— what to expect
Every session puts a human being at the centre.
Talks from designers, founders, and product leaders doing the real work. Workshops run in parallel. The afterparty closes it out.
Theme:
Human by Design, where culture, code and creativity meet.
This year is a reminder that behind every interface, every system, every product decision, there is a person. And that person deserves better than what most products give them.

Every session puts a human at the centre.
Not a concept. Not a trend. Not a tool. A person. Their reality, their work, their struggle, their craft. We are here to showcase the people doing the work — not the people who have finished doing it and now talk about it. The best UDC talks have made a student and a director feel equally seen. That is the bar.

For the Ones
Making Things
Craft, tools, and the decisions behind the work
The practitioner's track. Every session here is about the actual work of making design decisions, AI as a creative instrument, type, motion, systems, and what it means to maintain craft when the tools keep changing underneath you.

For the Ones
Shipping Things
Product, engineering, and what it takes to build well
The cross-functional track. Sessions about the tension and collaboration between design, engineering, and product — who owns what, how decisions get made under pressure, and what it means to build something that actually works for the people using it.

For the Ones
Building Things
Founders, studios, and the reality of owning what you make
The builder's track. Sessions about what it actually takes to start something, sustain it, and scale it in Nigeria — pricing, studio operations, the financial reality of creative business, and the decisions that founders and studio owners make that nobody else sees.

For the Ones
Shaping Things
Culture, community, and the future of African creative work
The ecosystem track. Sessions for the people whose decisions ripple beyond their immediate work — community builders, educators, investors, and operators thinking about where Nigerian and African creative culture is going, and who is responsible for building it.

We don't book the most famous speakers. We book the most honest ones. The person doing the work — not the person who finished doing it and now talks about it.

— GETTING HERE
Lagos is calling. Ikeja is where it happens.
REGAL HALL
IKEJA, LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA
One of Lagos’s most iconic event spaces — central, accessible, and built for the kind of energy UDC brings. Easy to get to from anywhere in the city.
BY AIR
Fly into Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. The venue is less than 15 minutes from the airport — the most convenient conference location in Lagos for anyone travelling in from outside the state.
BY ROAD
Ikeja sits at the heart of Lagos. From the Island, allow 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Bolt, Uber, and ride-hailing apps all run reliably to the venue.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The Ikeja Bus Terminal is a short ride from Regal Hall. The area is well-served by danfo and BRT routes from major Lagos hubs.
Why Sponsor UDC?
Most conferences offer a burst of visibility during the event and then it's over. UDC is built on a year-round community model. Sponsorship provides a bridge to become a sustained, valued member of that community, building brand loyalty and trust over time, rather than just for a few days.
Still got questions
What does a ticket include?
Full two-day access to the main stage, all workshop sessions, the Market Square live design challenge, and the UDC26 afterparty. Food and refreshments are included across both days.
Is there a group or team discount?
Yes. If you're bringing three or more people from the same organisation, reach out to us at team@untitleddesigners.com and we'll sort you out.
Can I get a refund if I can't make it?
Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable. If you can no longer attend, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Contact us at least 7 days before the event.
What time does the event start and end each day?
Doors open at 8:00am both days. Sessions begin at 9:00am. Day one closes with the evening programme at 6:00pm. Day two ends with the closing keynote at 5:00pm, followed by the afterparty.
Will sessions be recorded?
Selected sessions will be recorded and made available to ticket holders after the event. Not all sessions will be recorded — some conversations are for the room only.
What should I bring?
Your ticket (digital is fine), A laptop for the interactive workshop section, something to take notes with, business cards if you still use them, and an open mind. Dress code is creative , come as yourself.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. Regal Hall is fully accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact us in advance and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
How do I sign up for workshops?
Workshop selection opens after you purchase your ticket. Spots are limited — first come, first served. You'll receive an email with instructions once registration closes.
How many workshops can I attend?
Each workshop runs in parallel with main stage sessions. You can attend one workshop per slot. We'll share the full schedule in advance so you can plan.
Who runs the workshops?
Workshops are led by practitioners — working designers, founders, and tools experts. No generic trainers. Every workshop facilitator is someone actively doing the work.
